The IET Power Academy is an important partnership between key companies and top universities. It supports the attraction, development and recruitment of engineering graduates to engineering organisations involved with the application of electrical power including power, rail and aerospace companies.
Engineering drives the success and transformation of the sector enabling the UK to meet its green agenda and targets, developing and using industry-leading technologies and the UK electrification programme for change – the impact that Power Academy scholars have on the sector could be dramatic.
The Academy company partners offer undergraduate scholars a bursary every year worth £3000 plus well-paid summer work placements. An annual networking seminar and conference for scholars in the summer is also hosted by us and partners.
